ADAPTIVE LEARN TO SKI CLINIC
Sunday, Feb 4 / 10-11:30 am
Clinic Presenter: BethAnn Chamberlain, the US Biathlon Paralympic Development Coach
The goal of this clinic is to introduce those that are interested in Adaptive cross country skiing and provide an opportunity to try out equipment, ski with others and learn about more opportunities to enjoy the sport.
The clinic is open to any interested person in sit, standing or visually impaired cross country skiing. Nordic Coaches, volunteers, adaptive sport coordinators/instructors, parents, Nordic skiers and those interested in learning more about Adaptive Nordic Skiing should plan to attend.
Cross country skiing has a vital and active community. The disabled skiing community has come up with a variety of techniques and technologies that can help newcomers break into the skiing world with a minimum of difficulty.
There is NO cost to this clinic, but we ask that you register ahead of time so we can be sure to have enough volunteers and equipment for everyone. We will have 2-3 sit skis available to try on-site. If you have your own ski-ski equipment, please bring it!
Pre-register by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Participant check-in begins at 9:30 am at the Elver Park Main Shelter.
