Birkie Trail Run & Trek

Sep 27, 2014 @ 8:00 am

Five Events to Choose From … Now with Singletrack!

The FIVE Birkie Trail Run, Relay and Trek events on Sept. 27 put you on some of the best sections of the famous Birkie Trail and now—for die-hard trail and singletrack runners—we’ve added sections of SINGLETRACK to the marathon and half marathon courses! These singletrack sections are part of the CAMBA trail system, one of the best in the nation and the singletrack capital of the Midwest. The Birkie Trail itself has enough roots and rocks to keep it interesting. But, for runners looking to break free from the roads, it is a great crossover and introduction to trail running. The main course is 30 feet wide, grass covered, and mowed, with a bike path down the middle to keep those sections fast. There is plenty of room to pass on the uphills, downhills, and flats. Also new this year is that all events start and finish at the new Birkie Ridge trailhead, right off Hwy. 63, just two miles north of Seeley, WI. Starting here puts you on some of the best parts of the Birkie Trail and singletrack.
